Madden NFL brand Electronic Arts has teamed up with SpongeBob SquarePants

Partnerships between well-known brands have become increasingly bold in recent years, so it's no surprise that the latest news from Madden NFL brand Electronic Arts has teamed up with SpongeBob SquarePants. The battle of the bikini bottoms.

No one can really be mad at SpongeBob as the lovable character has been making us laugh for over 2 decades and any inclusion related to the cartoon is generally welcome. However, the arrival of the star character from Bikini Bottom was not enough to calm Madden NFL 21 players, as even this event did not distract their attention from the specific criticisms they have of the latest installment. .

Starting January 7, Madden 21 players will be able to compete in a brand new field based on the popular Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Players will be able to:

Compete in three challenges in the all-new SpongeBob Reef-top field in The Yard
Earn and unlock free Nickelodeon inspired content
Earn and unlock gear capsules inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants himself

The event will take place in The Yard online mode and will bring different content to the theme with the characters from the animation. This includes a new stadium called “Spongebob Reef-Top”, a themed arena with famous Bikini Bottom locations and design, new clothing items inspired by SpongeBob as a reward for completing challenges and new game modes.

Gear paying homage to the sponge itself, SpongeBob SquarePants, is now available in-game with more gear inspired by Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Sandy Cheeks, Plankton and Mr. Krabs added to Madden NFL 21 in the weeks to come up. Fans can also tune in this Sunday at 4:40 p.m. ET to catch a Chicago Bears vs New Orleans Saints special on Nickelodeon.

Announced on Twitter, the partnership will bring to Madden NFL 21 a unique stadium selectable in the arcade mode and above all a series of kits inspired by the most famous characters of the series, such as SpongeBob, Squidward and many more.
